Anthony Calhoun

Anthony Calhoun, a friend of mine from Santa Barbara passed away today. He was 26 years old. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all of his friends. He was a good person, and will be fondly remembered.

Rob and Mandy Albanese

Rob and Mandy's wedding was awesome! You can also see more photos in their slideshow by CLICKING HERE. Their wedding was at an intimate chapel in the Presidio, San Francisco. Here are some shots from the day:

My friend, Arik was helping photograph the wedding with me. This is one of the sweet shots that he pulled.

Success!

We went down the street and did portraits in front of these cool brick buildings.

I was happy with the portraits that we got. There wasn't any rush, so we had some time to try different things, which always helps me get more creative.

The bridal party danced to "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire. It was fun stuff!

Rob and Mandy are so cute together. It was a pleasure getting to meet everyone at the wedding too. Everything was perfect. I love that I get to do this for work! Thanks!

What Stinks?

It all started while I was out of town for the weekend. When I got back, I noticed a funky smell in the house. I thought that one of the roommates must have been having a hygiene problem, or they let their laundry build up, but I didn't think too much of it. Two days later, the smell was REALLY bad. I started sniffing around, but I couldn't see anything. When I pulled the bed away from the wall, I found a chicken leg that Maddy (my roommate's dog) had hid for me. It was so disgusting! It took hours of cleaning to get the stink out of my room.

The Charettes

Emily and Jeff are friends from the home group that I go to through Dolores Park Church. I stopped by their house today to say hi and see their week-old baby girl, Eleanor Grace Charette. It was cool to watch the process from "hey guys, we're pregnant," to big belly, and today, getting to hold baby Grace. It's really an amazing process. I snapped a couple of photos because I happened to have my camera in the car. I think that I need to carry my camera around more often for all of the day to day happenings, and not just for work stuff.

Kyle and Danielle

I got to do engagement photos with Danielle and Kyle today. It was a really nice afternoon. We started at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. We rented a little dingy and went rowing around the lake. Here are some of the shots:

Danielle's extra pants got a little wet from water that splashed into the boat, so the heater in the car helped to dry them on the way to or next spot :)

Danielle and Kyle are super fun! I'm so glad that I get to be a part of their wedding this fall.

I'm still alive!

Hello everyone, I'm sorry that I have gotten so behind on blogging. Life has been super crazy the last two months, and I can hardly keep track of all the things that have been happening. It's a good thing that I've been taking pictures so that I can remember it all ;) Anyway, I'm going to be posting about it all, so don't mind if I put up 15 posts in two days. I hope you are all doing well :)

EKGM Collective

I took some photos for friends who are forming a design group. They are calling themselves the EKGM Collective. It was a fun project because I have never done anything like it. We set up a makeshift studio using lights that I borrowed from my friend Mark, and we took a bunch of individual photos. We comped them all into one frame in Photoshop to create a group photo. I was glad that the final outcome was pretty close to the original idea that they had come up with for the shoot. You might also recognize Gritchelle, who's wonderful face (along with her husband Chris) has been making me look good on my website all year :) I had the pleasure of being able to shoot their super fun wedding last summer. The group shot that is below was made very quickly by my friend Arik who was helping with the shoot.
