Veronica and Enrique Diaz

I had the pleasure of shooting an awesome wedding this weekend in Santa Barbara. The couple, Veronica and Enrique are so cool!! They really know how to do it right, and I'm super glad I was able to be a part of their day :)
To see more photos, view the slideshow here.
The ceremony was at the Holy Cross Church on the Mesa. The inside is lined with cool stained glass windows.
After the ceremony was over, we all jumped in a trolley car that they had rented and drove to the Mission and the Courthouse to take photos. The trolley was really cool because unlike a limo, we didn't have to be packed in there to fit. We had a lot of fun on the trolley, there were a couple of impromptu toasts as well as some warm up drinks.
My assistant for the day, Kristin, is totally awesome! She scored all kinds of really sweet shots like the one above.
I think that this photo is really abstract, but I'm pretty into it.
You can never go wrong with a group sing along!
Yeah, people were dancing 'till midnight, and even I got on the floor for a little bit! The food was amazing, good wine, fun people, and really, I can't believe that I get to do this for work! I totally love my job!

New York

So I was on spring break from school this week, and New York seemed like a pretty good place to spend the week. I had SO much fun! I absolutely LOVE it there! This is a small taste...
A view of the Empire State Building from the Top of the Rock.
These are my friends, Dillon and Kalla, enjoying the view.
We stayed in the Chelsea Hotel, which was really cool! It is know for all of the famous people who have lived there. Leonard Coen lived in our room for a little while, and one of my favorite songwriters, Ryan Adams, lived in the room right below ours. We were staying there with some other friends from SF, Erica and Tony.
We had a lot of fun shooting ourselves in the window of our room!
Dinosaurs at the natural history museum were really cool.
Say this name ten times fast...
Cai Guo-Qiang's exhibit at the Guggenheim was simply amazing! I absolutely love art, and this was a super original exhibit to that was unlike any other that I've seen. The architecture of the Guggenheim fits like a glove with the selected works too. There was one installation with wolves that totally blew my mind! If you are going to New York while this exhibit is still there, it would be worth your time to check it out!
I wouldn't have expected to meet so many rad people there, but we did! Every night we were out, it seemed like we met new people that were just really cool. It's been a while since I've hung out with someone as fun as the girl on the left, Alisa. Oops.
We went dancing every night until 4 or 5am. Oops. It was so much fun though! I'm always down for a dance floor, and everywhere we went in NY had them :) This photo is of the band Crystal Castles, that we saw in Brooklyn on our last night there. It was a crazy dance party, so you know I loved every minute of it! Good times, I want to go back already...

Bono : Fragrance for Men

I had a project for school where I had to come up with a packaging system for a celebrity perfume. I chose Bono because he is a rock star, business man, humanitarian, parent, and an overall good person. There were a couple of really late nights making this happen, but I think the end result came out good.

Kevin and Tammy

I shot Kevin and Tammy's wedding down in Malibu in 2006. We didn't do a wedding album right away, but it was something that they had always wanted. They were out visiting in SF, so we met for coffee, and to talk about the details for an album. I was glad to see them again, and it was cool to see them doing well. We also took a couple of photos just for fun. Enjoy!
Kevin used to live in this building off Haight and Central when he was going to school out here.
Working it!I really like how this shot came out. Not bad for a quick photo shoot right?

Say Anything

I am super into this band called Say Anything, and I got to see them play at the Fillmore two days ago. I love going to shows, especially if I know some of the lyrics. For this band though, I know ALL the words to ALL of their songs, so you know I had a blast! My razr phone hooked up this shot.

Mia and Chris

I took engagement photos of Mia and Chris today in SF. It was totally fun because I know them both from high school, so it was like hanging out. Not only that, but they are a super cute couple! Right...
These were at Baker Beach, which is one of the coolest beaches I've been to. On a nice day, it is just sandy beach and then the Golden Gate Bridge (oh yeah clothing is optional at one end of the beach too) It was a little cold when the clouds covered the sun, but still a good spot for a photoshoot.
I love the haight! All three of these next shot look so different from each other, but they are a stone's throw away from each other.
I'm not a local San Franciscan, so we kinda got lost looking for gas. I try to never drive downtown on weekends, and this is pretty much why. It worked out well in the end once we found parking though. I love big buildings for a background in photos.
I am so excited to be shooting their wedding this fall too! I got a sneak peak of the location, the last time I was in Goleta, and all I can say is: WOW! It's going to be amazing.

You can see a slideshow with more photos here.

ISS Facility Services

A wedding photographer friend from Santa Barbara, Josh Newton, came up to SF to take photos for ISS Facility Services and I tagged along. They wanted a cool shot with one of their vans and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Here is some of the shots I got.
